Decision Wins
In the event that a bout goes the distance, it will go to the judges’ decision. The three judges will score the bout in its entirety, not round-by-round. Judges will utilize the GMA judging criteria in descending order of importance to determine the winner of the bout.
Order of Importance
Judges prioritize criteria based on:
-
Impact on the Overall Match – Factors that significantly influence the match as a whole, focusing on their role in altering the course of the fight.
-
Level of Excitement – Elements that enhance audience engagement, highlighting progressions that sustain spectator interest and evoke emotional intensity throughout the match.
-
Order of Sequence – Since GMA evaluates the match as a single, continuous fight, greater importance is weighted to actions and developments occurring later in the match, which are more impactful to the progression of the fight compared to earlier phases.
